About
I’ve always been drawn to ideas — and to what happens when you turn them into something real.
My career has taken a few different turns, and not always along the path I expected. But looking back, there’s always been a thread running through it: creativity, commercial thinking, people and a natural instinct for building things.
I’ve followed different interests through different seasons of life, learning something from each one and carrying it into the next.
From the start
I started my career in fashion, working across buying and product development. It taught me how to spot an opportunity, understand what people want and turn an idea into something tangible. I learnt about the commercial side of creativity — from trends and product to costs, production and range building — but also about the relationships and collaboration behind the scenes that make an idea work.
It gave me a strong foundation in understanding people, products and the journey from concept to reality.
That instinct has stayed with me ever since.
Following an idea
During lockdown, my interest in food, health and wellbeing became something more. Personal experiences of illness within my family prompted me to explore nutrition more deeply, leading me to study Nutrition Coaching and eventually develop Flo Nutrition.
What started as a genuine personal interest became another venture to build, combining my understanding of people and behaviour with my passion for food, health and wellbeing.
Around the same time, I became increasingly interested in creating spaces where people could connect, ideas could grow and something positive could happen as a result.
As co-founder of SW London Women + Beyond, I helped build a community from the ground up. For nearly three years, that meant developing and running quarterly events, creating partnerships and collaborations, bringing together speakers and businesses, organising charity fundraising and shaping the organisation’s wider presence.
Behind the scenes, I’ve worked across creative and marketing strategy, content, planning, events, partnerships and stakeholder relationships, as well as being part of senior-level and board discussions. Along the way, the organisation was recognised as a Start-Up Awards finalist.
Different settings. The same approach.
My work with Putney Action Group has taken that same instinct into a completely different environment.
Working alongside residents, local businesses, councillors, council officers and transport stakeholders has involved understanding complex issues, bringing different perspectives together and representing a community around a shared objective.
Across SW London Women, PAG and other organisations and businesses I’ve worked with, including Pretty Green, I’ve increasingly found myself comfortable in the space where ideas, people and decision-making meet: stakeholder discussions, board-level conversations, partnerships, strategy and finding a way forward when there isn’t an obvious one.
That’s probably where I’m most at home.
I’m creative, but I like structure. I’m commercially minded, but I care about people. I enjoy the big idea, but I’m equally interested in how you actually make it happen.
Still building
I don’t see my career as a collection of unrelated chapters. I see it as a progression, from understanding products and consumers, to building brands and businesses, to creating communities, partnerships and initiatives.
The industries may change. The common thread doesn’t.
I like spotting what could be better, bringing the right people together and building something from it.
This website is a collection of that journey so far — the work, the ideas, the people, the achievements and the things I’ve helped bring to life.
And perhaps that’s the most honest description of where I am now: still curious, still learning and still building.
There’s always more in the making.
